One day, I received a very special request from a customer:

The customer told me that their memories of their beloved dog were beginning to fade, and they wanted something lasting to keep.
Here is the cushion we made ↓
Back then—10 years ago—photos were often taken with flip phones. The low resolution made it impossible to create a printed cushion. That is why the customer came to us, where each design is hand-drawn and carefully knitted with yarn.
The photos they had were small and grainy. Many files had also been lost because the old phone hadn’t been powered on in years.
They sent us a handful of images, and from those we selected the ones where their dog looked cutest and most suitable for knitting.
After delivery, we received a thank-you email. The customer told us that the memories came rushing back, and that not only they, but their whole family, were deeply touched and happy.
Just a few days later, something very similar happened.
Another order came in—this time from a customer with an old photo of their cat.
They had cared for the cat when they were still in elementary school, about 20 years ago. Like the previous customer, their memories were becoming hazy, and very few photos remained. They worried that if time passed any longer, the memories might disappear completely.
So they searched for something tangible to hold on to.
After researching various shops, they chose us because they felt our knitted cushions carried a special warmth that only yarn and stitches could provide.
The final reason they decided to place the order was because their cat’s birthday was approaching.
Even after 20 years, the fact that an owner still remembers their pet’s birthday must surely bring joy to those beloved companions in heaven.
It may sound mysterious, but sometimes we receive a series of requests with the same theme. These coincidences happen from time to time at our shop.
In such moments, I can’t help but feel that my own pets—Mook the dog and Maro the cat, who are now in heaven—are somehow helping behind the scenes.
Perhaps they are working hard on “sales activities” up there!
To honor that feeling, and to fulfill the wishes of my customers, I continue to devote myself wholeheartedly to creating each piece.
