People who have lost pets live in a gap between sadness and happiness

Customer Review and Reflections on Pet Memorial Goods

We received a heartfelt review from one of our customers:

“I really love it. The touch is so delicate, and the quality is amazing.
It looks exactly like my pet—actually, even more adorable than in the photo.
I also like that it has a zipper and can be washed.
But every time I see it, I can’t help but feel sad.
It’s a contradiction, but at the same time, it gives me strength.
Thank you very much.”

Many of our customers share their grief over pet loss when placing an order.

However, in this case, the customer did not mention the loss of their pet at all. From the start, our conversations were about the usual details.

I wondered: Is their pet still alive and well?
Or maybe it’s a gift for a family member?

With those thoughts in mind, we proceeded with the design and creation.

After the delivery, we received this review.
It was only when we read the words “it makes me sad” that we realized—perhaps this order was in memory of a beloved pet who had already passed away.

Pet Loss: Living Between Sadness and Happiness

This review reminded me that those who experience pet loss live in the space between sadness and happiness—between the grief of no longer having their pet by their side, and the joy of remembering the love and happy times they shared.

They smile when recalling those memories, and then feel sadness again. The cycle repeats.

It has been a year and a half since I said goodbye to my own cat. Even now, I think of him every single day. And I am able to do so because of the many messages and orders I receive from customers who have also lost their pets.

Sometimes I feel the sorrow of missing him.
Other times, I find myself smiling as I remember our happy days.

Each thank-you message from customers allows me to remember my beloved cat again. That is why I feel truly blessed to be doing this work.

Memorial Goods: Sadness and Strength in One

Pet memorial goods play a very unique role.

As our customer wrote, seeing the cushion can bring tears.
Yet at the same time, it also gives people the strength to keep moving forward.

The words that make me happiest are when someone says:
“It feels like I’ve been reunited with my pet.”

When We First Began Creating Memorial Goods

Our very first memorial order came more than ten years ago.
At that time, we honestly felt uncertain.

We wondered: Could making a memorial item deepen the customer’s sadness instead of helping?

But to our surprise, customers thanked us.

Some called us in tears, some sent heartfelt letters, others shared photos of their pets or home altars. Again and again, they expressed joy and gratitude.

Many even told us:
“Please continue this work for the sake of others suffering from pet loss.”

Healing Through Pet Loss

During the early stages of grief, it may feel impossible to experience happiness.

But gradually, as even small moments of joy return, one begins to heal and return to everyday life.

The painful times and the brighter times alternate, until slowly, the brighter times grow longer.

Perhaps memorial goods can be the key that helps open the door to that healing.

There’s no need to rush—please allow yourself to recover at your own pace.

Always Together

What we deliver is not just a cushion.
It is the feeling of:

Always together, forever.”
