I’ll tell you my experience.
It was my wife’s birthday.
We’re preparing for the celebration.
It was supposed to be a fun day.
In that morning, our cat passed away.
I knit yarn and make knitted memorial items for pets.
For this reason, we sometimes receive requests to create products after hearing from customers about the circumstances surrounding their pet’s death.
Customers sometimes consult me about this, but it seems to be quite common for a pet to die on the same day as the person or a family member’s birthday.
In today’s article, I would like to write about how I felt about a pet dying on a family member’s birthday.
As I mentioned earlier, I used to have a cat named Maro.
The brown tabby cat is on the right in the photo.
He was a patient and quiet cat, but also gentle and good at being cuddled.
He passed away on the morning of his wife’s birthday.
We were preparing to celebrate, but my wife and I were too busy to do so.
Cremation preparations, future plans, sorting out emotions,
We couldn’t get anything done, so we decided to postpone the celebration until another day, and instead focused on giving Maro a warm send-off.
Why pets die before (or on) family members’ birthdays
This is what our customers sometimes say to us.
I used to think that such coincidences existed.
But I never imagined that something similar would happen in my home.
In fact, it may actually be quite common for pets to die on (or near) their owner’s birthday.
As I listened to these stories, I began to think the following.
Maro fell ill and died within two months.
Maybe he heard us talking about birthdays.
Perhaps something similar is happening in your home.
It is said that pets are very aware of their owners’ feelings.
Maybe I understand your conversations properly.
Perhaps that was what kept him going and keeping on living his life.
When I tell customers stories like this, they seem a little pleased.
I would be happy if this conversation makes my customers happy.
Of course, making cushions is important work.
However, as well as creating products, I also place great importance on listening carefully to my customers’ concerns.
Although this will reduce production time, we will continue to listen to your story, offer advice, and do whatever we can to provide some emotional support.
Some people then tell me that they passed away on their birthday.
The cushion may have been a gift from a pet.
I think it’s because I have had the opportunity to talk like this that I feel the need to work hard and create beautiful works.
I hope your pet can return home soon.
I hope your belated birthday present arrives soon.
We hope that the feelings you have for your pets will reach them.
With this wish in mind, I continue knitting today.
This is a knitted cushion made from yarn.
A special birthday present
We offer a service of enclosing a message card when delivering products.
(image)
We will accept your message via email, type it on photo letter paper and enclose it with your product.
I try not to read the content as much as possible, but I do check the text when I enter it to make sure there are no typos.
Among them, there are those who write about how their birthdays have passed due to pet funerals and they have not been able to celebrate them.
I can’t help but feel that the situation was similar to what happened in my home.
Even if the request is not urgent, we still want to deliver the product as quickly as possible.
I believe it is everyone’s warm feelings that give birth to these works.
