The loneliness felt when a pet dies is the bond we share with our pets.

After delivering a custom-made cushion made with a pet’s photo, we received a letter from a customer.

The text inside is personal to me so I cannot share it with you, but they did send us a photo.

This is Chacha, the parakeet that passed away. The cushion was photographed with her memorable cage.

In the letter, the recipient wrote about their feelings of farewell and their thoughts leading up to the order.

There were some words in the letter that made me particularly happy.

They said that,

Unlike the difficult days before the order, they were looking forward to the completion of the cushion, remembering all the fun times they had had.

I always ask myself why I create my works.

We may be making “cushions,” but I believe what people really need is support, comfort, and memories.

One customer said this to me:

“It’s very painful right now, but that loneliness is what bonds us together.”

And,

“An owner’s final role is to accept the loneliness and live with it.”

I believe everyone who has lost a pet feels the same loneliness.

We have helped create memories for over 10,000 customers.

Of all the memories, this one comment made a big impression on us, and it has become a very memorable cushion for us.

I have read this letter many times and it has become a great source of strength for me.

Chacha will continue to live on in our customers’ hearts, and in our memories.
